I screwed up my garage door by trying to force it closed. Door was off the tracks on both ends, the bottom of the door was touching the floor on one end, and up 12" on the other, a cable was off the track, etc. Got a quote from a different company, and the guy didn't sound like he knew what he was doing. Overhead Door Systems came out, and looked at it. The tech gave me a price to fix it, but said the repairs could be less depending on how much work was needed (he couldn't really know until he got into the project.) It was in the ballpark of what the other company had quoted me, which is what I thought it would cost, and was prepared to pay. He was able fix it in about 20 minutes, without using new parts. Tightened the spring on the door as well, so it would stay up. The cost was a fraction of what he quoted because he was able to just fix it without using new parts. Door works perfectly. He could have taken advantage of me and charged me four times as much, which was what he thought it might cost. He could have taken advantage of me. Great company, and they care about the customer. Give the guy a raise!
